FILIPA VIEIRA - NEW VIDEOCLIPE - "CORTAR OS IMPULSOS"

"Cortar os Impulsos" is the latest track from Filipa Vieira's original album, a collaborative effort where I had the privilege of creatively developing the new music video.

Rooted in the theme of time explored in her Videoclips, it delves into how impulses being gradually severed over time affect an artist's perception.

Filipa's challenge resulted in the intriguing film above, contrasting the "Artist" – immortal and radiant – with the "Woman" – aged and confined masterfully portrayed by Filipa. Her interpretation of both characters is marked by remarkable expressiveness.

JURY DECLARATION
Soares' film relies on a perfect balance of expressive elements, which combine well with the narrative set-up. Highlighted are the cinematography, with its intense and somber colors skilfully played on the penumbra, and the direction, which makes very effective use of the close-ups of the protagonist. Eventually, it must be emphasized that the well-constructed script progressively involves the spectator in a fundamental social theme, such as the desperate loneliness of older people.
POETS AND PAINTERS
Unleashes "Cosmogonia da Identidade" Book

The writing of the brand, penned by Creative Director Pedro Pires, springs to life through the ingenious Design by José Mendes and the Illustrations of João Maio Pinto.
To mark the POETS AND PAINTERS (re)launch, Pedro Pires challenged me to breathe life into his vision by creating a series of films for the brand.
Surrounded by such creative minds, I can confidently say that my satisfaction knows no bounds.
